Hallowell, Maine Part 2

Many people ask about our little town. Since we’ve begun in 1983, we’ve been welcomed into Hallowell as part of its charm and artistic focus. Located south of Maine’s capital of Augusta, it’s a bit of a surprise for visitors—used to the sights of Maine’s famous coast—to find such a historic and welcoming neighborhood in the mainland. Running along the Kennebec River on original bricked sidewalks, you’ll find antique stores, art galleries, bookshops, and terrific places to eat. And right in the center of town (along the appropriately named Central Street!) is yours truly!  In the aerial photo, you can see us dead center, two old red roofed buildings with a rich history of their own…but we’ll save that for a later date.

So come, one and all, to Historic Hallowell, Maine! Because when you support us, you support our community, and everyone should see for themselves what a town it is. Visit our town’s website (where I found that beautiful photo), and while you’re planning your stay, call us to schedule a tour of our fantastic mill. We’d love to meet you!
